LAKELAND | Lakeland officers say they are following up on leads in the death of Christopher Campbell, 26, of Lakeland, but haven’t identified any suspects.

He was shot to death and found in a vehicle Sunday night that had crashed in the 1500 block of Providence Road in Lakeland, police said. Officers did another canvass of the neighborhood Tuesday morning but said they didn’t receive any additional information.
Police would not release where Campbell was shot but said it was several gunshots.
